- The most likely scenario is that the Powerbook is a 5300 (or maybe a 190).
- In this case, it's my opinion that a 'MAC' card would work better.
- I've read on the newsgroups about various problems having to do with
- 'non-MAC-specific' cards not working with certain fax/communication

- Also, I know for a fact that the PC Cards from Global Village (where I
- work, so yes I'm biased) were made specifically for the 5300 & 190 (but
- were also designed to work on the 500 series when the type C cardcage
- becomes available). Our modems come with fax/comm software compatible
- with these machines, as well as special 'Mac like' features found with no
- other modem (for example the AppleGuide hypertext 'AT Command Reference')
- as well as excellent written documentation and Mac specific support.
